About the author
Amber August is a Baltimore-born and Baltimore-based artist, writer, and host with a sound and style that will touch your soul. When she’s not creating one-of-a-kind musical experiences, you can find August hosting the Love Groove Festival every fall. She is the self-published author of a poetry collection entitled Her Insides. She is notably known for her on-the-spot freestyling and her ability to make any crowd feel like family. August is currently pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing and publishing arts at the University of Baltimore.
